According to statistics from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, in 2018, a total of 72952 sewage treatment plants were built across the country, an increase of 3.7 percent over 2017. In terms of sewage treatment capacity, in 2018, the daily treatment capacity of sewage treatment plants nationwide reached 223.7 million tons. At the same time, according to the analysis and prediction of the Environmental Planning Department of the State Environmental Protection Administration and the National Information Center, during the 12th Five-Year Plan and the 13th Five-Year Plan, my country's sewage treatment investment (including treatment investment and operating costs) will reach 1058.3 billion yuan and 1392.2 billion yuan respectively. The investment in industrial sewage treatment and urban domestic sewage treatment will reach 435.5 billion yuan and 459 billion yuan respectively.
In the next ten years, with the country's emphasis on environmental protection, the improvement of people's living standards, the improvement of environmental protection requirements, and the continuous upgrading of urban water supply and sewage treatment facilities, investment in water pollution control will continue. Will maintain rapid growth.
