2. Uses
1. Used in the synthesis of polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG), and thus the production of elastic spandex fiber;
2. Tetrahydrofuran is an excellent solvent;
3. Used as raw material for organic synthesis for the production of tetrahydrothiophene, 1.4-dichloroethane, 2.3-dichlorotetrahydrofuran, valerolactone, butyrolactone and pyrrolidone, etc., and has a wide range of applications in the pharmaceutical field;
4. Chromatographic solvents (gel permeation chromatography), used for natural gas flavoring, acetylene extraction solvents, light stabilizers for polymer materials and so on.

4. Characteristics
Colorless volatile liquid at room temperature, with an odor similar to ether. Soluble in water, ethanol, ether, acetone, benzene and other organic solvents. Partially miscible with water at room temperature. Low toxicity, low boiling point, good fluidity.
5. Storage
Usually the product is added with polymerization inhibitor. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30℃. The package must be sealed and not exposed to air. It should be stored separately from oxidants, acids, alkalis, etc., and should not be mixed.
